Cooking up Some Rice

Earlier today I was cooking up some rice. As soon as I finished I let it cool down, then I dumped all of it all into a brand-new hangiri that my mom had recently bought for me. She got it in China during her last vacation. She traveled all over Asia for two months and all she brought me back was his bowl that I could’ve got at IKEA. I didn’t say this to her of course, but it just struck me as odd that this would be the one gift that she decided to bring back from this amazing continent. Anyway, as soon as the rice cooled I started eating it and then she called. We talked for a while and I told her I was using her bowl, which made her very happy.

Then I decided to head out to run some errands. I pulled out my list and the first thing on it was “chopsticks bulk”. I had no idea what this meant because I don’t even know how to use chopsticks, let alone have the need to purchase them in bulk. By the time I got to the store I realized that this was my roommate’s errand list, which made more sense. This guy is totally obsessed with all things Asian, so the fact that he buys these things by the box doesn’t surprise me one bit.
